Its Over

So in my last post or so I was complaning about the internship process. Yeah so that is over and I am glad for it to be over. To have to make such an important decision in a matter of minutes was actually easier then I thought it would be. I actually made a ranked list of my preferencs and waited for phone calls. When the call was negative, i highllited the place in red strikethrough bold. When I was offered a site, I placed them on hold, and then called the sites ahead of it. While waiting I highlighted the site with a green color. Eventually i worked my way up the list and found a site I relaly liked that wanted me.

So where am I going? Well part of that I cannot say. What i can tell you is that I will be working with people with severe psychopathology in an elderly population. This site presents soem inteesting challenges in that some of these people need different types of psychotherapies but are dealign with other issues. For example a person at this place might be suffering from Schizophrenia as well as Alzheimers. I should learn alot from here and get a lot of good expierence.

From what I understand I am going to spend between 20-24 hours there per week, so I will be getting a lot of expierence for the year long placement. It should be an exciting oppertunity. I am just glad the application process is over!
